We saw a need in the community and created Craft Bank to meet it.
The Craft Story

- Craft Bank was started in 2020 to serve manufacturers, distributors, professional firms, and builders with revenues up to $30m.
- Recent acquisitions had left the Atlanta banking landscape mostly controlled by large, financial institutions and out-of-state regional banks.
- Yet, bank customer preferences were shifting toward community banks that provide a higher level of service and a more satisfying banking experience.

- In our home zip code in Atlanta, total banking deposits doubled from 2014 to 2019. Yet, bank mergers caused significant disruption to the banking environment.
- Craft Bank met a need in the community by leveraging our built-in knowledge of local markets, local companies and local trends.

In Summer 2025, Craft Bank opened Access Cobb, a Craft Bank, the new, locally-led bank located on the Marietta Square.
Access Cobb is the only bank headquartered in Cobb County—offering a uniquely local, relationship-first approach to banking.
Led by veteran banker and Cobb resident Terri Bunten Guthrie, Access Cobb is designed exclusively for local businesses, providing tailored services like business loans, lines of credit, and flexible checking and savings options.
Craft Bank President and CEO Ross Mynatt described Access Cobb as the first example of “branchising”—a model that replicates Craft’s trusted foundation while allowing each location to develop its own local flavor.
